Our Basic Obedience Training is a 4-week board & train program designed to teach your dog reliable on- and off-leash obedience. Commands include:

Sit

Down

Recall (“Here”)

Kennel

Place (remain on an elevated bed)

Throughout the program, we invite owners to participate in training sessions during the final weeks. This ensures you’ll feel confident continuing and maintaining your dog’s progress at home.

Program Cost: $3,000

$1,500 deposit at drop-off

$1,500 balance due at pickup

This is a perfect example of needing to adjust and think on the go during training.

The plan was for the dog to come in for a bite on the suit, then I’d shed the suit top so he could re-engage on the hidden sleeve. But he bit with so much intensity that I couldn’t get the suit off and he pulled the hidden sleeve out of place.

We quickly adapted — the handler removed the dog so I could fix the setup. Once ready, we brought the dog back in and I threw the suit top to test him. He ignored the distraction and went straight for the hidden sleeve, exactly how we want.

Training isn’t always perfect, but adaptability and control are key. 💪🐕‍🦺

Maintaining a strong recall doesn’t have to be complicated — it just takes consistency and fun!
In this video, I’m working recall with my dog Connor.
I throw one toy, release him to go for it, then recall him back to me. When he returns, I reward him with a second toy I already have — keeping the game exciting and reinforcing that coming back pays off!
After rewarding, I send him back out to grab the first toy again.

This method keeps the dog engaged, builds reliability, and makes recall something they love to do.

Timing is everything in dog training. Whether you’re rewarding a wanted behavior or correcting an unwanted one — your mark must happen within 3 seconds. ⏱️

Anything after that and your dog has no idea what you're marking. You missed your opportunity to clearly communicate what was right or wrong.

In this video, I break down proper marking technique, whether it’s followed by praise and reward or a firm correction. This clarity is what helps dogs progress faster and reduces confusion. ✅❌
